A united movement advancing disability rights in Kenya

Kenya Disability Network (KDN) is a disability-led membership network that brings together Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), caregivers, self-help groups, women, youth, and community leaders to champion inclusion, equality, accessibility, and meaningful participation across Kenya.

We believe that lasting change happens when persons with disabilities lead the conversations, influence decisions, and shape the policies that affect their lives.

Our Vision

An inclusive Kenya where every person with a disability enjoys equal rights, dignity, opportunity, and full participation.

Our Mission

To strengthen disability leadership, promote advocacy, and build partnerships that create lasting inclusive development.

KDN Community Story

Growing from a local initiative into a national movement

Kenya Disability Network (KDN) was established in 2018 in Meru County to unite Organizations of Persons with Disabilities, caregivers, self-help groups, women leaders, youth representatives, and community advocates under one collective voice.

What started as a grassroots initiative has grown into a disability-led movement promoting inclusion, accessibility, leadership, and equal opportunities across Kenya. Today, KDN continues expanding county chapters while strengthening partnerships that improve the lives of persons with disabilities.
