Disability Rights Advocacy
Kenya Disability Network works to advance the rights of persons with disabilities by promoting inclusive policies, strengthening legal awareness, influencing decision-making, and ensuring that disability issues remain a priority at both county and national levels.
Through advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and community mobilization, KDN empowers persons with disabilities to participate meaningfully in governance and public life.
Inclusive Education
KDN promotes inclusive education by advocating for equal access to quality learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work with schools, communities, and education stakeholders to remove barriers that prevent meaningful participation.
Through awareness, capacity building, and collaboration, we support learning environments where every learner is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Economic Empowerment
Kenya Disability Network supports persons with disabilities to improve their economic well-being through entrepreneurship, vocational training, financial literacy, market linkages, and access to income-generating opportunities.
By strengthening livelihoods and promoting financial independence, we help individuals, families, and communities build resilience and reduce poverty.
Health & Social Inclusion
Kenya Disability Network promotes equitable access to healthcare, rehabilitation services, mental wellbeing, and social protection for persons with disabilities. We advocate for inclusive health systems that leave no one behind.
Working closely with communities and partners, we help remove barriers to essential health services while encouraging dignity, independence, and full participation in society.
Leadership Development & Capacity Building
Kenya Disability Network strengthens the leadership and institutional capacity of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), youth leaders, women leaders, caregivers, and community organizations to effectively advocate for disability inclusion and sustainable development.
Through training, mentorship, networking, and organizational development, we equip leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to create lasting impact within their communities.
Community Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
Kenya Disability Network believes that sustainable change is achieved through collaboration. We work closely with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), county governments, civil society organizations, development partners, academic institutions, the private sector, and local communities to promote disability inclusion.
Our partnerships strengthen advocacy efforts, expand programme reach, mobilize resources, and create opportunities that improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities across Kenya.
